We are the representatives of the citizens of Portage County, who elect us at Democratic Primary Elections according to the laws of the State of Ohio. Every four years, as the primary election in which the candidate for Governor is selected, Democratic voters in each precinct file a Declaration of Candidacy at the Portage County Board of Elections to have their names placed on the Democratic Primary ballot in their precinct as candidates for member of the County Central Committee.

We operate under a constitution in accordance with the requirements of the Ohio Democratic Party. Our constitution was revised in 2007 and amended in 2010, and is available here. We have adopted bylaws that are available here.
